Long Point Camp was founded by The Salvation Army in the mid 1950's. The camp is situated on 138 acres and borders Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. It is a well-equipped facility with 16 camper cabins, a gymnasium, administration offices, lakefront boating area, swimming pool, pioneer village, low ropes challenge course, animal farm, hiking trails, recreation fields, basketball and volleyball courts, playground, dining hall, campfire circle, outdoor camping area, chapel and staff facilities. Long Point Camp offers children the ultimate camping experience under the direction of a competent Christian staff. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association and is licensed by the New York State Department of Health.
Each summer, over 100 Syracuse area children, ages 6-12 and 13-18, attend Long Point Camp at a greatly reduced rate thanks to the generosity of donors in our community.
Each summer, a group of Syracuse area seniors visit Long Point Conference Center to enjoy wonderful fellowship, beautiful accomodations and a wide variety of activities. Activities for seniors at Long Point include swimming, boat rides, arts and crafts and daily devotional.
